El Regalo is truly a gift that you’ll cherish forever. It’s a beautiful remote boutique resort with stunning views of the mountains, jungle and beach. The owners Jenni and Carol take such good care of their guests and treat you like family. The staff is so welcoming and always willing to help you. The food is extraordinary. The rooms very spacious, each with their own terrace to watch the sun rise or set. Comfortable areas to lye in a hammock and read a book or have a little snooze. I look forward to coming back to this treasure of a gift.
From the moment we arrived, everything was top-notch. What a breath of fresh air to find 5 star service in Panama. From the smiling attentive staff, to the refreshing infinity edge pool overlooking the island dotted ocean to the full service pool side bar, who could ask for more? But wait! Then there was the room...we chose the king size bed with private balcony overlooking the ocean out one balcony and the vast stretches of mangroves off the other. The bed was so comfortable, it felt as if we had been sleeping for weeks. The air condioned room, high thread count sheets and the plush pillows welcome tired and wary travelers into a night of peaceful slumber. The west facing detached bahia (thatch covered) patio top of a perfect day by producing an amazing sunset across the river valley and the distant hills. The food service is absolutely 5 stars and the menu options are plentiful. We will absolutely be back to this hidden gem. I would give it more stars if I could!...oh, I almost forgot..Fiber optic high speed internet recently installed! Say what? This is the perfect oasis for the digital nomad...me!
If you want to rest and relax, this is a great hotel/resort. The service is above and beyond. They will do whatever to help you with your needs with a friendly attitude and willingness to help. They have a private beach as well as a small hike to a pavilion where you can watch the sunset.
Peaceful and quiet place to stay. Big and nicely appointed room with a large balcony to enjoy the scenery and water views. The staff was very friendly and the chef made delicious breakfasts and dinners. Jenny, our host, organized a fantastic snorkel excursion to beautiful nearby islands. Highly recommended.
Jenny, Carroll, Christina, Abbie, Karina and Chef Andre are fantastic! Their hospitality was top notch. This secluded hotel is a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth the drive! Very relaxing atmosphere, extremely well maintained, very clean. There are several activites offered as well, including massages and bikes to go to the beach. Would highly recommend, and cannot wait to go back.
