My son and I chose Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge based on a recommendation. Shane and his team delivered a Panama fishing experience that went beyond our expectations and will forever be cherished. The entire trip was hassle free. Shane’s communications were excellent, no surprises. From arrival at Panama City to our final day, Shane’s team took great care. My son and I wanted to catch a Marlin, of which we caught five during our four days of fishing. We brought in a total of 18 different species. Captain Johnny and his mate Owen were very professional and worked hard to make sure we caught fish. Chef Eddie and his team prepared amazing ceviche each day for appetizers, followed up with amazing meals. We had breakfast and dinner each day with other guests, it was fun to share our fishing experiences. Panama is a beautiful place, and the people are very nice and welcoming. We highly recommend Sport Fish Panama Island, it is a 5 star experience.
We recently had the opportunity of a lifetime to fish at Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge. DO IT! The fishing was world class. In 3.5 days we caught 13 different species and over 35 fish! The size and variety of the fish were unbelievable! Captain Shane and his team of people are incredible and we had literally the trip of a lifetime. Captain Johnny and First Mate Owen were putting us on all types of fish and worked very hard for us - much appreciated! The accommodations and food are superb and the level of service from Chef Eddie and the team was exceptional. Only bad thing I could say is that the trip had to come to an end. From the moment we landed in Panama City where we were greeted by an English speaking employee who whisked us through customs quickly and without incident every moment of the trip was extremely first class. 5 STAR ***** TIME --- BOOK THIS AND DON' T THINK TWICE ABOUT IT!!!
Very unique experience with incredible fishing opportunities. For an area as remote as it is, the accomodations were outstanding for our fishing crew along along food quality and preparation. We were target specific on our fishing hunt and Shane and his crew made every effort to achieve our goal. I will certainly try and make it back.
March 2023 was my sixth trip Isla Parida Panama to fish with Shane and his team at Fish Panama Today. This was my first trip since 2018. Shane did not waste any time during the pandemic and has transformed the lodge into a world class destination. The fishing was epic including triple dorado hook-ups with my boys, dorado caught on a fly rod and one of my sons catching his first black marlin. Nine different species caught in two days. My wife came to the island as well, but did not fish. She explored the island during the day and was pampered by everyone working there. A five-star experience for sure. Shane and his team take care of all the details. All you need to do is show up with an appetite for fishing, beautiful, geography and great food. I am already putting together a group to book the next trip.
Epic fishing trip. By far the best deep sea fishing trip I’ve ever been on. Equipment and crew are top notch. Juan and Mike took awesome care of my wife and I and the bite was off the hook. Tuna, Dorado and sailfish were every where and the bite lasted all day from the time the first line hit the water until the last cast of a popper. We did the day charter as we were staying in Boquete and drove down to Boca Chica early that morning and then drove back that evening. The fish were all excellent quality and size and we had several that broke the line. I highly recommend these guys. I am planning on coming back with my buddies in the future and doing the all inclusive on Shanes island lodges. Thanks again Shane, Juan and Mike for a fishing trip of a lifetime
